I sat there for a second with the phone against my ear. Harlow sounded different from when she'd left this morning. There was no uncertainty in her voice now. Greta had apparently given her what she needed to make the decision.
"You're sure?"
"Yeah."
"Then you're going back."
There was a pause on her end. I could already picture the look on her face. She had probably expected more from me after making it official. I wasn't giving her another fight when she'd made up her mind.
"That's all you're going to say?"
"What do you want me to say?"
"I don't know. Something controlling and annoying."
"I can come up with something if it'll make you happy."
She laughed.
