14. Nova

I'm straddling the Red Shadow. I look down at him. If he didn't want me here, he could easily push me off. I can't believe I was able to convince him to go to Ivantaro. Now I just have to message Kevin and tell him where to grab me. I'm terrified, perhaps that's why I decided to just say f**k it and get with Red Shadow.

I look down at him and grind against him. I feel his c**k start to harden. "What's your name?"

He actually blushes and tries to hide his smile, but his dimples give him away. "Hey, Nova."

"Do you like me using your real name?" I ask.

"More than I thought I would, to be honest. I don't usually tell people my actual name. I like it when you say it. My name sounds good in your mouth."

I blush at that statement. "Well, thank you. It helps life feel... real right now. I need that, I think."

He looks like he's thinking hard, and not necessarily liking his thoughts. His brow is furrowed. "I'm glad I can give that to you. So, did you want to go change the destination of the ship?" I nod, grab one of his hoodies, put it on and head to the command room.

He follows close behind and seems to have a hard time keeping his eyes off of me in his hoodie. I have to say, it's very comfy. It is very large on me, reaching halfway down my thighs. I go to the pilot's chair and get comfortable. I change the destination and lean back.

"Are you okay?" he asks me.

"Yeah... just thinking about life. There are things I'm going to miss, you know?" I say. I'm not trying to be macabre, but the closer we get to the end of this journey, the closer my death comes... If I have to die for my brother to live a good life, it was worth it. I just worry about him. There are also so many projects I have at home that I wish I could have finished. I sigh and look out the observation window, at all the stars and planets and space. "I always wanted to travel to other places, I never expected my trip to be one to my death." I say out loud.

"Nova, I-" Jake stars, but I cut him off.

"It's fine. I've accepted how it is at this point. I get it. I'm a pay day." I pull my legs up under my chin. I can feel Jake's eyes on me, but I ignore it. A few minutes go by before I stand up. "I'm going to go get some rest. Somebody wore me out," I say with a wink. I walk over to him and give him a lingering kiss before leaving and heading back to my room.

Once back in my room, I pull out the data pad and send a message to Kevin.

"Meet me on Ivantaro. In the Casino, Star Slots. I will go quietly as long as you guarantee you will not touch my brother or Red Shadow."

I wait impatiently for a response. When I get a ding on the pad, I look and I got a response.

"Agreed. See you then Little One."

Feeling the clock ticking on my life, I curl up in a ball on the bed, wrapped in Jake's sweater, surrounded by his scent, and I sleep.
