I spent the rest of the day avoiding Duncan like the plague.
I still hadn't found out who was responsible for the little discrepancy in the account but at the same time, I didn't care. I just knew I didn't want to be around Duncan before I did something I'd regret.
Besides, I had a plan and it was to figure out a way to get to the West Wing and Duncan's room within the week but first, I had to befriend a few people. Especially the maids.
They were more forthcoming with information than anyone else in the house, especially Zoe. The rest of them barely wanted to speak to me.
