"Looking for something, Anna?"
Duncan asked as he walked towards me with long strides and an unreasonable expression etched on his face.
I swallowed, racking my brain for a reasonable lie.

"I lost my way...." I said with as much believable confidence as I could.
"You lost your way?" He asked, his tone skeptical, his eyes burning with... I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at.
"This place is a maze." I added, hoping he bought my ridiculous excuse.
Why was he here? I had been gone only less than ten minutes for goodness sake!
