"So, this is your place? It's so cozy." Lily said in awe as she stepped in.
I rolled my eyes at her.
"You can say it's ugly. I don't mind."
Lily chuckled
"Ugly? I would have killed to have a place like this six years ago."
"Really? What happened six years ago?" I pried as gently as I could.
"I was homeless and beaten to an inch of my life," she shrugged with her usual ditzy smile.
"What happened?"
