YELENA “Oh moon… your nose is still bleeding,” I whispered as I dabbed the last bit of cotton on Tyler’s bruised face. His breath hitched, a quiet wince slipping out before he tried to act tough again. His sister kept watching me from her sick bed, her hands were on her chest, she was staring at me like I caused all this. “Who even beat you, brother?” she snapped, her eyes narrowed, her voice full of that sisterly attitude that came only when she was mad and scared at the same time. Tyler gave a small, almost lazy shrug. “It was some useless Alpha, baby. I’ll deal with him… don’t worry.” My hand froze on his cheek with the plaster halfway. Useless Alpha? Moon, why did my heart jump? Was it someone I knew? I swallowed and pushed the thought aside, finishing the plaster on his nose.
