*3rd person flashback* Peace. Peace was all the young fifteen year old girl felt in this moment as she watched the butterflys surround the rose bushes that enclosed the lake resting still in front of her. She adored it here, it was if this was the only place on earth that existed from the silence it brought to her. Being in a pack left very little chance of silence but thats not necessarily a bad thing, the noise reminded her that she would always had family around her. The deers would drink from the lake before her, the presence of Aria not disturbing them. This place was a safe haven to all creatures, it was an unspoken agreement.  She could hear the giggles coming from her mother causing her to look back at her parents. Letting out a content sigh and a small smile she focused on them. Her mother was beyond beautiful, she was no taller than 5'3 but her big personality made up for her small frame. She had soft pale skin but that just intensified her rose lips and the pink from her cheeks. Her long brunette hair danced gracefully with the gentle breeze while she looked at Arias father with admiration, her forest green eyes never breaking away from him. Her father was beyond handsome, being a little over 6'4 and very well built. His dark skin made his ocean blue eyes sparkle. He looked at Arias mother as if she was the most delicate creation on this earth, she never realised the irony of him thanking the moon goddess every night for her mother but she would one day. Hearing their love story was always Arias fravioute story, it made her eager to meet her mate and when she does to cherish it. Her father was meant to be the next Alpha in line however my mother came from a visiting pack as the betas daughter. However her father's pack had a very bad reputation to outsiders and due to her mother being under 18 her father still had the first rights when it came to her. People questioned how her mother knew who her mate was before turning 18 but eventually people just seemed to let it go. Her mother's father forbid her moving to their pack and forced her to come home. Arias father did something no pack has ever heard off, he gave up his alpha title and moved here to my mother's pack. After a lot of work and dedication her grandfather finally approved but by then Arias father had fallen in love with not only her mother, but also her home, their home. He accepted the role as beta and despite great disapproval from his father turned down his last chance at being the next Alpha of his own pack. With Arias mother and father being pack betas they rarely get time as a family. Her father was the greatest pack fighter in both human and wolf form, her mother wasn't somgreat in human form but in her wolf form she seemed to be unstoppable just like her father. It used to bother Aria that they were hardly home, especially her mother leaving for weeks at a time but her father always reassured her it was needed and would always return. Now that she has grown older and is expected to follow in her parents footsteps, at least till Marcus finds his mate, she understands the duties and the importance they hold to the pack. Getting lost in her own little world she failed to see the dark wolf creeping up behind her. With its head low to the ground, it locked the young girl in its gaze before pouncing into her, knocking her onto the floor. The wolf growled at Aria waiting for her reaction, the reaction he got was far from the one he had been hoping for... 'Marcus you big doofus! Get off me before I tell dad!' Aria yelled at her brother. Marcus was your typically older brother, beyond protective of his sister but bullied her as older siblings do. They always saw their bond as unbreakable at this point, they truly believed nothing would separate them in this world. Marcus loved practising in his wolf form and his pretend victim was always Aria, he's never been able to frighten her or sneak up on her even when she was so far into day dreaming she wouldnt recognise the qorld around her. He got his wolf when he was fourteen, they talk and bond, learn eachothers past but didnt shift for the first time till he was eightteen, thats normal for wolf's though. Since then he spent as much time as possible in his wolf form but no one could blame him. He has Alpha blood in him so has wolf was beautiful, fur as dark as the night sky and his eyes were a deep green. The size of his wolf was intimidating to others besides his direct family, he was much larger than other male wolf's but also broader too. Aria was angry he had disturbed her from enjoying the rare moments of peace she has. Once Marcus comes out from behind the tree after shifting back to his human form, he informs Aria 'Dad sent me to come get you, you've wondered too far again. You know he's not comfortable with you being out of his site while we're away from the pack.' Which was true, her father has always been extra cautious with Aria. She's never allowed out of site when away from the pack, to be honest he'd prefer keeping eyes on her even when they're near the pack but knows that's not possible.  'Oh please he can still see me' she argued back facing them, yes she was on the other side of the meadow but technically she could still see them. 'Will you stop arguing for once and just get your butt back to mum and dad no...' Marcus stopped mid sentence, looking straight behind his little sister who was still holding her ground. 'Aria, I need you to listen to me and listen closely. When I say go I need you to run to mom and dad.' He whispered without moving a single muscle, whatever he was watching he never broke eye contact. 'What why? For goddess sake you don't need to be so damn dramatic, I'll go okay' responding with as much attitude as she could muster. 'Marcus what the hell do you keep starring at!?' In that moment Aria regretted everything, she regretted walking too far away from her parents, she regretted pushing her parents into coming on this day out, she regretted walking up that morning. Less that 15ft in front of her stood 6 rabid wolf's, their eyes blood red, drool pouring out of their mouth and fine grey fur matted against their skin. 'Aria I'm going to stay here and try hold them off but you need to run for dad, take mom with you and get to the pack' Marcus knew what that meant for him if he stayed but he wanted his little sister to be safe. 'I'm not leaving you, you'll never make it' Aria argued, trying to be as still and quiet as she could even with the adrenaline pumping through her veins. 'She's right Marcus, you both need to turn around and run towards us but not till I tell you.' Her father's voice coming through the mind link made Aria jump in her spot, causing the rogues to take a step closer' Aria began to cry, thinking this was it, this was how she would die. 'princess I need you to listen to me okay? I'm going to count down from 3 and you need to run like you've never ran before. Come straight towards me and don't look back.' Her father tried using a softer voice, hoping to calm her before she had to run for her life. 'But dad I...' she tried interrupting him but failed. '3...2...1.. NOW ARIA!' Marcus grabbed her by the hand, running as fast as he could making sure to keep a tight hold on her. Aria couldn't keep up with the motions of what was currently happening but as she got closer to her parents the feeling of relief seemed to appear. That was until she realised her parents were still running full speed towards them. Like time had slowed down completely, she watched her parents run straight past her, her mother smiling what she thought would be comforting. 'Don't look back sweetie, we need you to keep running okay? The pack will be here very soon but for now we'll hold them back. You're being so brave. Marcus hunnie, don't let her go till you have her to safety, do not turn back once she's with the pack, stay with her at all times my sweet boy' their mothers voice made it obvious to them both, this time she wouldn't be returning like their father used to promise. 'Daddy please come home, turn around please' Arias voice broke, she tried pulling on her brothers hand to release herself but his grip just tightened. 'I love you both very much but this time I can't make that promise princess. Get her away from here son, youre incharge now'. Those words were the last words she ever heard from her father but the pain she felt was renewed every day. They finally reached the pack house, Arias head still struggling to process what had just happened. Everyone was asking questions about what happened, how many there was, where their parents were but the only thing that snapped her out of her daze was something she would never had been able to prepare for. What she heard was the pain filled howl her father released, as if feeling the same pain as her father she passed out whilst her parents soul separated from hers.
