Chapter 2 Eve's POV: The woman's loud scream completely took me by surprise. It was evident that she was in pain. My feet stumbled back until I could no longer see anyone. What just happened? I didn't even have time to get a good look at everyone. Her crying out in terror caught me off guard, which is why I retreated before even registering what the cause of her horror was. Did Torin do something to her? Should I just run back to the van and forget all of this? At least we got to see the guys. We hadn't even expected to actually see them. I'm starting to really think that stalking the band members was a bad idea. What if we get caught? I took another step back and turned to walk back to the vehicle. A thought comes to mind that stops me in my tracks.. What if that woman is actually in a life or death situation and she really needs help? Besides Jasmine and Victoria, I am the only other person that will probably walk through here tonight. I may be her only chance at being saved. Am I truly okay with walking away from this, knowing that I could have potentially helped her? Even if it does put the band members in a bad situation. I cannot in sound mind justify turning my back on someone in need for the sake of saving the image of my favorite celebrities. That woman had screamed so loudly earlier. Speaking of which, I no longer hear her, or anything else for that matter. I take a deep breath before walking back over to the edge of the wall. I glanced around taking in the scene. All of their backs were facing me. Novak, Torin, and Quinton were gathered around the lady while Enzo and Dean stood a few feet away. It almost looked as though they were biting her. The woman was no longer screaming. If I am not mistaken, her expression looks as though she is enjoying whatever they are doing. Trying to find a rational answer, I started to inch closer. To my misfortune, my foot hit something metal, causing a loud noise that did not go unnoticed by the people that I had been watching. Seriously?! Mentally, I am yelling at my foot for being the cause of the situation that I am now in. This felt like the moment in horror movies when the dumb character could not keep quiet, so they get caught and killed. Killed. That is probably the opposite of the kind of thing that I should be thinking about right now. But seriously, how could I have not seen the metal object? How amateur of me. Then again, this is my first time doing something like this. Note to self: it will also be the last time. I believe that it is more than safe to say that I am indeed the worst stalker in the history of, well, stalking. They all turned instantly, while all I could do was stand there in complete shock. The voice of reason in my head is saying to run. Yet, I am still frozen in place. Why do my legs fail me now? They worked five seconds ago when they idiotically stumbled into that stupid metal object. Hold on a second..I do not really have a reason to be all that afraid just yet. Sure, the woman yelled, but seeing her a moment ago, she looked to be in bliss. Perhaps this was some sort of consensual agreement between them? There is probably a rational explanation for this.. Oh my goodness.. Is that blood dripping off their lips? Yep, I'm out. Right then, my legs finally received the message that my brain had been trying to send. I turned and began to sprint as fast as I could manage back down the alley where I had entered. I run like my life depends on it, because it very well could. I was not planning to stick around and get the full story of what was actually going down. Keep in mind that they were all standing a good distance away, that is why it took me completely by surprise when I was brutally jerked backwards by my arm. My flashlight slung out of my hand and went hurling across the alley, hitting a brick wall and shattering into several pieces. I was no longer standing on my feet. I am now sitting on the cold, grimy ground staring into ten of what I have to admit are the most gorgeous eyes. Wait no, stop that! This is serious! Who cares about how insanely handsome they are..with their luscious hair, fit bodies, and charming accents.. Okay, really Eve? This is not the time to start fangirling! In fact, this would just so happen to be anything but the time. "What are you doing here?" A familiar voice hissed. I immediately recognized him as Quinton. Even when I am scared half to death, I still can not forget their names nor voices. I was, however, at a loss for words. I just could not seem to get any to form. I really do not know what to say even if I could manage to talk. I was having trouble moving my legs earlier and now my lips. Not to mention, my brain does not seem to be functioning all too well either. "I...um.." Was all that I managed to get out. "Well?!" Torin demanded. I do believe that I just found two members slightly less attractive. I began to pick myself up off of the chilly ground in the alley. Torin stepped forward as if he thought that I needed to remain on this disgusting concrete. "Can I get up first?" I said in a rude, yet slightly shaking voice. He huffed in response. I noticed they were all blocking the way that we had entered. Well, I guess I will not be making a break for it the way that I came in. So I turned around, but before I could take another step, Torin was in front of me blocking my way once again. "Going somewhere?" Torin called out with a smirk as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. His smirks were once adored by my friends and myself. However, now seeing him here like this in person just makes me feel slightly sick. Torin glanced over my shoulder. I turned to see who he was looking at. It was Novak, the leader of the band. "What do we do with her?" Torin asked, his eyes still glued on Novak waiting to receive an answer. I gulped in response. I could not help it. What did he mean by 'what do we do with her'? Well, if I was able to form coherent words I might add that they should just let me go. Suddenly, I realized that Jasmine had heard the guys right earlier at the airport. They were getting a bite to eat at the park. Oh my goodness.. They drink blood. Was this some sort of weird thing that rock stars do? No, it couldn’t be.. Could it? Who am I to know what celebrities do outside of the public's prying eyes? I decide that I have to think fast if I want to get out of here. I came to the conclusion that acting dumb might just be the answer to saving my tail. "So like, I saw you guys walk in the alley and I was like, 'O. M. G. It's Pariahs!' So of course I had to come over to ask if I could bother you for a pic real quick." I did an idiotic giggle. "Hey that rhymed!" I said to them. I really hope they are buying this.. They all shared a look amongst one another and then began to laugh. It was not a slight chuckle, but a loud, hearty laugh filled with amusement. "Nice try!" Quinton let out while still laughing with all the guys. "How dumb do you think us to be love?" Dean rolled. I would take this as a 'they figured it out' situation, considering they are all in hysterics, finding my plan amusing. I just awkwardly stood there while they mocked my attempt at deceiving them into thinking that I had not seen them with that woman. Mentally, I was trying to prepare myself for whatever is to come. I mean, they did just harm that lady, right? So are they not going to hurt me next? I glance at the woman in the distance who is now slumped against the wall while sitting on the ground with her eyes closed. Is she dead or did she just pass out?
