Chapter Thirty-Six Keegan pulled over into the quiet alcove that he'd found, more by luck than anything. He had no clue where they were but knew they were still in danger. What concerned him was that Sam hadn't moved or bellowed orders at him for at least twenty minutes. Not a good sign. He knew she needed attention, but he was still vibrating from the harrowing chase with whoever was after her. His priority had been to get away. Even though Sam hadn't been able to tell him where to turn and how to drive, it was like she'd been giving him directions in his head. He took every back alley and residential street and even zipped into someone's backyard. Hiding for a short period had been enough to lose whoever had been behind them.
