“Cousin, you ok?” I tried to make a serious face. I wasn’t conscious of the effects of all the alcohol I drank. “Yeah, Dani. Thank you for everything. See you in the morning. And you too. Don’t worry, and I got it. I had fun tonight.” I started walking out the door. My feet stumbled a bit when stepping out. People persisted in partying. They were walking in every which direction. Once I was at the hotel door, I detected a tap on my shoulder. It was Jay. “Man, I told you I was coming to make sure you straight. Mon yuh eaise haad,” Jay with a groan. I chuckled as we carried on to the hallway into the elevator. “Man, I can feel my face,” I slurred, “I am sleepy. 3rd floor, please.” Jay just shook his head.
