Dante’s POV I left Aria after an hour and fifty-eight minutes. I wanted to stay the night—to wrap my arms around her and just be in the moment. To forget about our responsibilities, about Marco, and about how, if I didn’t come up with a plan before their wedding day, I was doomed. I kissed her on her forehead and left the house. I got back to my father’s house in the very last moments of the party and managed to greet some important guests before slipping away with a bottle of vodka in my hands. I thought I was stealthy enough, but I clearly wasn’t, since Eleanor intercepted me on my way to my room. “Look who it is,” she said, folding her arms, and I internally groaned.
