Dante's POV I couldn’t get Marco’s “little” remark out of my head. It made me question the way Aria looked when I told her she was beautiful—like it meant something to her, like she wanted to hear it. I hadn’t thought too much about it at the time, but when I saw her freeze up at Marco’s comment, I knew there was something else going on. But I couldn’t bring it up, and it killed me.
