I had a week to convince Aria to screw everything and come with me. I had to convince her that the truce was going to end either way and beg her to join me before it escalated.
How was I supposed to convince the most strong-headed woman I knew that no matter what, people were going to die, and her father would probably be in that mix if I didn't get to him quickly—but at least she would be with me?
I couldn't guarantee her father’s safety, and I knew that was going to be a deal breaker. The documents for the acquisition were still processing, and I highly doubted Marco would continue with the whole process after I unleashed hell.
