"I haven't been able to reach her in three days. What are your informants saying?!" Gianna yelled as she barged into my study.
It had been three days since the hospital incident, and with every day that passed, the odds seemed to be stacking against us.
Marco had stopped the proceedings for the acquisition of his construction company. That meant he had a clue about my initial plan to get Aria’s dad under my jurisdiction… which meant her father was probably under strict surveillance, and I had no way of accessing him.
To top that off, he must have doubled down on security and screened his house staff, because my informants had placed me on “no contact” to avoid getting suspected—or killed.
