Queen

She moved inside following a dark staircase. The lights in the room illuminated sensing her. He followed behind her in silence. Only there footsteps could be heard.
"I am sorry but I had to" he broke the silence.
"please do not" hurt hinting in her voice.
Silence conquered them again as they moved towards the wooden door at the end of the staircase.
Cold wind hit them as she scanned her thumb and the door swung open revealing a clear sky and an empty space.They entered the wide empty rooftop of the building. Aerial's favorite place. The blue sky peeked upon them. The clouds shaped in different objects moved like the fishes in a blue ocean of the sky. Sun looked over them from behind the clouds. The smell of fresh lilies danced around them, indicating the start of the spring. Plants were lined against the walls. Fresh and green. Flowers bloomed on some of them others just waved their leaves along with the wind
She turned around to face him who was looking down from the edge of the roof walls. "say whatever you want to here. No one knows about this place except the builder, me and ....."
"now me" he completed her sentence turning to face her.
"you have 5 minutes to say whatever you want and time already started"
"do you still like kpop" He asked directly.
"you came here and made all this commotion just for asking me that" She definitely had not expected this question.
"just answer" He seemed eager and in a hurry.
"no I got over it long time ago"
He came near her holding her wrist and bringing it in their view. "why do you still wear this purple watch"
She pulled back her hand at the sudden contact of his cold touch. Her eyes studied the metallic purple watch that reflected the sunlight. Diamonds were studded in the middle of the dial. The numbers were written with silver that shone under the daylight. How old was this watch she thought to herself. Almost 5 years old. She had collections of watches yet she wore this one.
"because its my favorite color what is it to you" she shot back at him
"Isn't purple your favorite color because it was BTS color" he interrogated.
"just get to the point" she was growing impatient
"will you go to South Korea with me"
"what? Why? No." she looked at him confused at his sudden declaration.
"I have been assigned mission against a kpop band" he looked around not facing her.
"why South Korea?"
"It's a 4 girl band and two of them are from our country. They need information on them. That's why" he clicked his tongue and she just listened to him confused.
"And how is that related to me"
"I need a reason to be in contact with them and that is where you come in" he turned around pointing at her.
"Me?"
"Your company is going international right?"
"yes"
"Make them your Korean brand ambassadors"
She looked at him with anger disgust and hurt. "basically use me again. Why would I make them my company's brand ambassadors" she scoffed. " do yo know how hard it was for me to build all this. To stand where I am. And I did that all alone. You were not here then and you do not have the right to suddenly come here after so long and tell me what I should do for my company."
"we would work as a team this time"
"okay for suppose I do make them ambassadors and then we find dirt on them or whatever wrong it is. and they go down then my company gets effected because of it too. No sorry Eren but I m going to have you refuse your offer. I will not risk my company for your stupid mission"
"Try to understand Ariel..." he was about to say something when his phone started ringing. He brought it closer to his ear. "On my way" with just a single sentence he closed the call.
"you know what do not answer me right now you can have two days think about it" he said looking towards her, a knowing smile playing on his lips as he ran backwards towards the edge of the roof.
"my answer will not change" she crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him with a stern face.
"I will not take your answer now" with that he jumped off the building.
"Eren" she screamed in horror running after him shocked. She looked down at him from the edge of roof as he moved downwards with the help of an equipment. a hook was stuck in the side of the wall and he used a rope to climb down. A truck passed under him and he jumped inside it. He looked back at her giving a two finger salute.
"SHOW OFF" she screamed at him in anger just when the truck turned away out of her sight. A slight unwanted smile creeping on her face. She did not want to admit it but she was happy to see him.
Coming back downstairs in the security of her office room- her second house where she spent most of her time- her mind wandered around what Eren had said. She came back to her desk and picked up her now cold coffee, she was about to discard it when a box on her desk caught her attention. She went closer to it to find a dunkin donuts box. Six of her most favorite flavors freshly baked placed there waiting for her to eat them. A note was placed on the lid of the box. She pulled it and read it.
'For Mermaid Princess,
I know you hate me but you do not hate donuts.Enjoy.'
A slight smile appeared on her face, she picked up a double chocolate taking a bite of it. She closed her eyes feeling the lush chocolate delight melting in her mouth. She crumbled the note in her hand tossing it in the bin.
"you are right Eren I might hate you but I cant hate Donuts now. But you are wrong about one thing I am Not a princess any more I am a queen here" she mumbled to herself.
A memory flashed in her mind. When she was young and Eren had given her the name Mermaid princess because her name matched the Little mermaid's main character's name.
"I am going to show you Eren that I am the Queen here" she mumbled to herself before moving towards the door.
She opened her office's room door startling the crowd gathered there. Just one look from her and they straightened like an arrow. Kennedy her Assistant came right beside her. "everything alright ma'am"
"completely fine"
"who was it" the security head interrogated. "No one just a Donuts delivery guy" she showed the doughnut in her hand. The security head wanted to say more but he sealed his lips knowing he couldn't say anything to her. " go check if there are any cameras or if the room's bugged" She ordered him and dismissed everyone with a wave of hand except Kennedy.
"Kennedy set up the meeting room in next fifteen minutes" she ordered him.
"Yes ma'am anything else"
"Yes, order the latest Chanel watch, I do not care for the price but make sure it's the best" she said before moving away ignoring Kennedy's approval behind her. Only a single song played in her mind.
