Ezra “Is there a reason you decided to go against the names picked by the choosing jar?” I sat in Warwick’s office, my eyes fixed on my hand which rested on the table. To my right was Zara, who looked like she wanted to be anywhere but in the office with me. “It’s my fault, Mrs Warwick. I hadn’t set clear instructions, hence the misunderstanding.” Zara explained, and I fought the urge to roll my eyes. “I wasn’t asking you, Zara.” Warwick turned to me. “Are you going to sit there and say nothing, Nairethorne?” I sighed. “You heard her. There was clearly a misunderstanding which I fixed. It’s the first class of impulse control. Putting a fresher out there is like setting them up for a firing squad.” I knew I was exaggerating, but still.... “And did these freshers in question complain?
