35 Although the night sky was bright with stars and torches burned either side of the entrance brightly, the second we passed through the giant stone arch all light vanished. I turned swiftly on my heel to look back towards the entrance and saw only inky blackness. “s**t,” I whispered. Archer was beside me, his voice low as he spoke, his face inches from my ear.
