psychopath

April's POV I hacked into Alex's Internet and I continued to do my report. Time passed with me lost in writing the report. My stomach roaring made me realise I was very hungry. I stood and walked to the kitchen hoping to find something to eat, anything. It was at night already and I had completely forgotten about dinner but it was normal for me to forget to eat. I did not think Alex would be okay with me getting in his kitchen to eat something because apparently he did not like 'sharing' but I was hungry. He was so ridiculous. Opening his fridge, I sighed. It had nothing interesting to eat. His kitchen cabinets had cereal only and it sucked. What did he usually eat? Just cereals? I walked out of the kitchen angrily and went to the bedroom and picked a coat ready to go look for food or just snacks. I was very hungry I did not think I could sleep or concentrate on anything. I found myself walking aimlessly looking for a convenience store or just a diner. It was ten o'clock, most diners had to have been open or about to close. The roads and streets were full of people. It had to be because it was Friday. There was a thing that no one spent Friday nights in. Everyone was at some party drinking themselves to stupid. College parties were like life or death for most College students. They were a must to attend. "April?"I heard my name being called out from a distance and I frowned. I stopped walking and turned to see who was calling me. I saw Marcus's Audi driving slowly towards me. It stopped next to where I stood. It was Marcus. What was he doing in the streets? Wasn't he supposed to be at his party? "Why are you walking alone?"he asked me leaning his arm on the car door. He rested his chin on his arm then he stared at me with a smug expression on his face. Seeing him made me angry. I had a few reasons why I was angry at him. I wrapped my arms around my chest and leaned my standing position in my right leg. "I don't know Marcus. Maybe because I have not yet found a place to sleep because I decided to trust your ass."I angrily told him. Marcus chuckled and I scoffed at him unbelievably. He thought what I said was funny? " I know you are not sleeping outside. There is no way Alex would let you sleep outside. He can be mean but deep down his dark heart, he has some compassion."Marcus stated. I rolled my eyes at the ridiculous claim. "Some compassion? I doubt that. Your friend is a sociopath."I paused to think. "Actually he is a psychopath and there is no way sociopaths have compassion. He is so annoying and if I had a choice I would not have to spend my night there. He is the worst human being to exist. I cannot wait for this night to end and never see his rude ass ever again."I complained about my anger fuelling when I recalled how annoying Alex was. Marcus burst out laughing and he was annoying me too. What did he find funny? He shook his head as his laughter died down then he turned his head to his side. I looked at him suspiciously. I felt it in my stomach that there was another presence in the car with him. Marcus leaned back in his driver's seat and there he was. Alex Gray sat in the passenger seat seeming unbothered. Marcus's earlier position was blocking my view of him. I glared at Marcus. Why did he let me badmouth Alex when he was aware that he was listening? I felt so stupid and played. Marcus kept playing with me and it was absurd how I always ended up not knowing anything about him playing with me. "I hate you Marcus." I mouthed and Marcus just shrugged. I waited for Alex to say something but he did not say anything. I creased my eyebrows wondering why he was not saying anything but I was happy at his silence at the same time. Marcus rolled his eyes after he looked between me and Alex. Then he sighed resting his gaze on me. "What are you doing outside? You are not the type to be out on a Friday night."he asked me. I sassily smirked. " Oh yeah? You think you know so much about me?"I asked him. "I mean, aren't you nerds always the same and predictable?"Marcus asked. I snorted dramatically. " Sorry to burst your bubble but you know nothing about me. I could be going to see my sugar daddy."I shrugged feigning ignorance. I heard a snicker and not from Marcus but from Alex. I looked at him curiously. " You disagree stingy guy?"I asked him. He looked at me with his unreadable expression. "I just don't see it. Girls like you who study on Friday nights can never have the guts to do something like that."He mocked me. He was using my actions of studying against me right now? "You would be surprised how much guts......" "Can we go?" Alex interrupted me. "This is lame. She is lame and not worth our time."he told Marcus. Marcus shook his head. "I owe her man. Let us give her a ride to where she is going."Marcus told Alex back then he looked at me. " Get in April. I will drive you to where you are going."he said pointing at the back seat with his chin. "I am not going anywhere far. I am just looking for a place where I can go eat or buy some snacks."I said and I saw Marcus smile. "Even better. Get in."he insisted but I got hesitant. "We are going to the store too coincidentally."he explained upon seeing my hesitation. "Aren't you going to the party?"I was confused. Marcus waved me off. " It was rescheduled to tomorrow. Something came up."he told me and I glared at him with a newfound anger. He made me give up on my search for a new roommate because of the party that was going to be rescheduled? "You are paying for my snacks if I accompany you. You at least owe me that."I sternly informed Marcus. "Whatever you want April. I owe you more than just snacks." I glared at him before I opened the door and got in his car.
