Liana’s POV The first thing I noticed was the low familiar hum. It wrapped around me softly. I opened my eyes slowly. Cream-colored walls. A blinking microwave clock stuck at 7:23. The faint smell of burnt coffee and lemon disinfectant. The break room. My head throbbed. A dull sensation like something was pressing from the inside. I tried to sit up and immediately regretted it.
