They arrived home for Owen and took him to see the city. People noticed him, as he was an attractive child, and although he spoke the language very well, he spoke to his mom in German, surprising everyone who heard him speak.
They strolled around the city and took him to the beach. The boy ran and played until he was tired; he had never seen the sea before.
"In the summer, we'll take you on vacation to the beach, how does that sound?"
