Chapter 41It was after 10:30 when Gloria dropped off Charlie and Nolan. Instead of pulling into either of their driveways, she let them off on the street midway between their two houses.
"Good luck tomorrow!" Alex said from the rear passenger's side window.
"Don't worry if you blow it!" said Sutra from up front. "We're great at cleaning up messes!"
With that, Gloria drove off into the night, leaving Charlie and Nolan alone on the curb.
