"Thanks, Mom." Charlie was lying back on her bed, staring at the ceiling...but for once, her thoughts weren't consumed by darkness. "I'm up."
She'd made it home from The Bunker with time to spare, sneaking up to her room fifteen minutes before Mom's alarm had gone off. Ever since, she'd been thinking back on her night, reliving her historic first meeting with Nil.
