Malakar's POV. "I think you should leave now, Malakar." Hope walks over to her apartment door and holds it open for me to leave. Her face is empty. Void of any legible expression, but her eyes are dancing with a mixture of negative emotions. Anger, fear, surprise, and disappointment. These are not emotions that I want her to associate with me. "Hope, please?" I lost control of myself for a second. When I heard that the hunter had sought out Hope, that he had approached her, and that he intended on doing so again, I just lost it. I desperately want to explain myself to her. I want to tell her that I didn't mean it like that. That the only thing I care about is her safety. I want to tell her that I want to rip his face off for even breathing the same air as her, but Hope looks completely
