Willow
“Someone is knocking on my door,” I whisper.
“Open the door, but don’t hang up yet.”
“Hi, Professor Malino.” I say as I open the door, my hands shaking a little. “Come in.”
I hang up on Leo, satisfied that at least he knows who it is. She awkwardly stands in the centre of the room, looking around as if lost.
I offer her some refreshments and she shakes her head. We take a seat at my table, and I try to read her face, but it is blank.
“Willow, I’m sorry had to see that,” she exhales.
“Do you at least have an explanation?”
She nods. “I have a confession to make.”
I watch her expectantly. Waiting for her to continue.
“I haven’t told Leo this, but my sister is suffering from vampire syndrome.” A tear trickles down her cheek.
“Oh my God! Professor, I’m so sorry.”
