CHAPTER THREE We soon reached Maria’s shack (as she called it). It was lovely, with a small decked area that had a couple of sun loungers on it. A shell mobile hung from a canopy, which provided a shaded area that was perfect for this time of day. Maria beckoned me into the room. “Take a seat.” I sat down on the wicker couch, which was well worn but cosy. The “shack” was well-named, with bare wooden floor boards and oak beams.
