CHAPTER THIRTEEN The next day we woke early and headed down to the restaurant within the hotel to eat breakfast. Tom announced that he had taken the day off and asked if I would like a browse round the shops. That was something that I wasn’t used to. James would rather run a mile than go shopping with me. The morning seemed to fly by. We hadn’t been in many shops but had walked a lot and I was beginning to feel the strain in my heels. “Shall we break for lunch?” Tom asked “I would love to,” I sighed. I can’t deny I was relieved and definitely ready for something to eat. We found a nice cosy café and settled down for lunch. I just had a jacket potato with a cheese filling, whilst Tom had some sort of baguette with chips. I found myself watching him as he ate, thinking about how much he
