We spent the weekend in his penthouse. We only left the bed to wash & then we were back in the bed in each other’s arms. When I woke up early Monday morning I left & headed to my apartment to change clothes. When I got in my door my phone rang. It was Adam. “Where are you?” His voice was frantic. “I woke up and you weren’t there.” “I had to come home and change clothes Adam.” I told him. “I couldn’t very well stay in the clothes I wore Friday now could I?” “People would definitely talk.” “f**k them.” “I wouldn’t care.” “In fact it would be a reminder to me of what we did Friday night & all weekend.” His statement makes me blush. “Oh, & when you get to work, I need you to come to my office.” “Is everything okay?” I ask. “Yes, I just want you with me when we tell Sarah we’re together.” “We’re official?” “I don’t remember you asking me Adam.” “Shit.” He says. “I’ll make that up to you when you get here.” “ I do not want to ask you to be with me over the phone.” When I got back to the office I immediately went to the 9th floor & went to Adam’s office when I walked in he had a single red rose in his hand. He walks up to me. “I should have done this over the weekend.” His eyes are looking into my eyes like they’re trying to find an answer before he asks the question. “Ashley, I don’t want to do casual with you. I’ve done it with others but they’ve never made me feel the way you do.” “Please say you’ll be mine, be my girlfriend.” “Yes Adam. I will be your girlfriend.” “Damn!” He says. “I love the way my name sounds on your lips.” Then he’s kissing me. As we pull apart there’s a knock on the door.
