Mark's POV:
As I'm sitting in the lobby at Joleson Enterprises, I catch Josie coming into the building. I look up from my phone, grinning.
"Hey, sweetheart."
"Hi, how are you? Is that my nickname now?" Josie chuckles.
"Yes, it is my love." HI reply as I stand up and walk towards her.
"So are you busy at the moment?" I ask, deviously.
"Well, I'm about to head upstairs to start my new job,"
"And what's your new job?" My eyebrows furrow a little in curiosity.
"Mr. Joleson's assistant."
"Oh, lucky you," I remark as I suck in some air and grit my teeth.
"Why, is he bad to work for or something?" She asks questionably, looking concerned.
"I'll just say that he and I are not fond of each other. Do you know who I am?" I ask her curiously, she sure seems to not be aware of who I am, surprisingly with all the media influence.
"No, who are you?" She gazes at me like she has no idea.
"My name is Marcus Briggs. CEO of Briggs Corp." I respond smirking.
Her eyes go wide and her jaw drops as she realizes she knows who I am.
"Oh my, I apologize I didn't recognize you." She gasps in shock.
"It's honestly refreshing to have someone not know me and get to see someone's reaction to finding out who I am." I can feel my mouth curve into a smirk.
Suddenly were broken up by Brandon clearing his throat. Of course, he would have to interrupt us.
Josie's snaps back really fast to find her boss. As expected Brandon glares at me
"What are you looking at?" I sneer at him.
"Get out of my building Briggs." Brandon continues glaring at me as his hands clench his briefcase tighter.
"Josie, I'll show you to your office." Brandon declares as the elevator opens.
"Bye, I gotta go Mark." Josie excuses herself and follows Brandon to the elevator.
As she leaves, I realize how much of an impact that girl already has on me.
