Kendrix's pov

I got back from work early today and I can't find Kendra I wonder where she is, I keep calling her phone but it doesn't go through, I kept pacing back and forth the room wondering where she could be it's been more than an hour now and it's getting late, I always cared for her, I'm so worried right now

"Calm down man. she'll be fine, she can take care of herself very well she's not a kid man just chill" my friend Cole tries to calm me down

"I know very well that she's not as kid Cole but what do I do, I don't know how or where the f**k she is, just yesterday she almost got robbed and now she's disappeared and you're telling me to calm down" I said glaring at him, of course i was clearly losing it oh shit

"Ok I understand your point but still she'll be here any minute it's not like she isn't coming back "

I breathe down with a huff he's right it's just an hour she'll be here any minute

after 15mins the door open, oh thank God it's Kendra

"And where hell have you been? what happened to your phone?" She just rolled her eyes and I got even more upset

"And hello to you too, hey Cole" with a small smile on her face

"Hey ken-" I cut him half sentence

"Kendra I'm not joking where did you go? And what happened to your phone I've been calling for an hour but it's not going through" I'm busy shouting at her and she doesn't even care

"Oh yh my phone died I didn't have time to charge it sorry... And I went out to see a friend.. you know..the girl that helped me out yesterday, I bumped into her at her work place this afternoon and we decided to catch up I'm sorry I didn't tell you it just slipped my mind honestly I'm really sorry brother" she apologized with her hands tugging her ears and I just can't be mad at her anymore instead I gave her a hug

"I'm just happy that you are safe...how did you find your new friend"

"Well friends actually...she had a best friend and well I like them a lot they are really nice"

"Why wouldn't they be you are a Walter after all" I said with a scoff and she just flashed me a toothy grin

"Oh no, they don't know that I'm a Walter, I never told them my last name and from the looks of it they clearly don't recognize me as a Walter" I looked at her surprised

"Are you sure?"

"Yh 100%, the girl who helped me worked at magaritta's café with her best friend as well, they are both waitresses" and I was even more surprised

"Isn't that where your café girl works?" Cole speaks up and he was right

"Yeah you are right but I don't know her name actually" Kendra describes the girl and she is exactly the same description I have of the café girl

"Her name is Elmira parker, and her best friend Sofia Jones" kendra says as she smirks

"Elmira...that's...a very nice name" I said smiling subconsciously while Kendra's smirk grows even wider and just then I realize the smile on my face I just keep smiling like this what is wrong with me I just roll my eyes at her

"Cole will you stay for dinner or Maybe stay over tonight?" She asks Cole with a small smile and i can see her pupils dilated as she stares at him, ugh whats is wrong with people and love Kendra and Cole have been crushing on each other for a long time but they are too stubborn to admit it.

"Sure, why not...if it's ok with Ken then sure"

"Of course man"

We eat dinner together I was mostly silent, Kendra and Cole did the talking I kept thinking of Elmira...holy s**t I love that name...

I go to bed early leaving the two love sick birds alone but I just can't stop thinking about Elmira, so I went to my study to work on some documents and other projects

I check my desk clock and it's 12am already, suddenly I hear a knock on my door and I look up finding Kendra standing by the door "hi can I come in?"

"Yh sure" she walked in and sat on a chair opposite me

"So, why are you still working so late"

"Why are you up so late" with a huge smirk

"Touché" she said with a huge grin "so, are you working till this time because you can't stop think about elmira" she said with a smirk what a tease

"No I'm not she's not my type how many times do I have to remind you"

"Oh really?" she said tentatively raising an eyebrow "oh come on brother anyone can clearly see that you're falling for her"

"No I'm not falling for her OK I don't do love you know that, there's no way I could fall for her"

"Really? Or are you just scared to fall in love and get hurt, she's not like Alicia you know"

"I know" i mutter

"she's nice, fun and smart, and clearly she's nothing like those bimbos you bang" she says with a wry smile and I burst into laughter

"Oh really"

"Totally" she rolls her eyes and I just shake my head at her

"You know I could say same for you about being scared" as the words left my mouth her entire expression changes what did I do now "are you okay? What's wrong"

"Uh its nothing, I should go to bed" what did i say now jeez women you just can't seem to understand them she walks over to me to plant a kiss on my cheek "Good night brother"

"Good night"

"Don't stay up too late"

"Yh I'll just finish up and go to bed" with that she leaves for bedroom and I finish off my work when I head to my room I'm already exhausted and let the darkness consume me
