Before I Met You

Chapter Ten

" Violence isn't the key to solving any of your problems, you do know that right Mara? " said the girl to her as she looked straight at her.

Mara looked at her with displeasure. She doesn't like how she couldn't get her crush. But, her classmate was able to date him. It doesn't really make sense to her at all.

" I detest love. Anyone I see with love in their eyes. I would want to destroy them " said Mara to them.

" Especially how Love could obviously blind someone easily. Because those people won't see it at all even when someone tells them " said Mara as she looked at her crush so dearly.

Mara was telling her classmate that she met him before she did. Mara continues to tell them that it was because of him that she would try to trust people. Her crush left his guard down. He tries to reason with his girlfriend to give her a chance. A chance for Mara to try to date him. The girl couldn't believe her ears.

" What do you mean by this babe ? " said the girl to her boyfriend as she looked at him in sadness.

" You don't believe her do you ? " said the girl to her boyfriend as tears started to stream from her face.

" You were the one who told me not to be friends with any guy when we first started dating. " said the girl to her boyfriend as she tried to persuade him.

" You also told me that you won't not be friends with any woman when you asked me out to be your girlfriend, " said the girl to her boyfriend.

The girl couldn't believe that her boyfriend would get out of this. She always believed and trusted her boyfriend. But now, she took a deep breath. She faces him. The man turns to face his girlfriend. The girl tries to reason with him. While the couples start arguing with each other; they can't see that Mara changes her face suddenly. Instead of her face feeling sad, her face turned wicked. Like she was smirking behind them like she was happy. She was happy that her crush believed her. Even though what she said to them was utterly a lie. The girl could see the facade that Mara is putting on. 

The girl shakes her head in disappointment. With no hesitation, Mara grabbed a sharp object from the ones she was holding. She ran so quickly that the knife was about this close in killing her crush. But she wasn't trying to aim at him. She knew that the girl would protect her boyfriend from danger. That was exactly what she wanted and then...

Her crush opened his eyes. He couldn't move. It's like if he wasn't around Mara would be happy. But that wasn't the case. It was too fast. The girl couldn't push her boyfriend in time so he doesn't get hurt. Mara starts to throw weapons at him. The girl tries her best to catch those sharp objects that fly straight at them. The girl stares at her boyfriend and starts to sigh. As she sighs, she looks at him once more and says...

" Babe, does this look like a person who is sad ? " said the girl to her boyfriend as she tries her best to protect him from danger.

" Does this look like the person who hurt her foot ? " said the girl to her boyfriend as she was aware of Mara's actions.

" Babe, you shouldn't believe what this Mara is saying. Because, your life will disappear in an instant " said the girl to her boyfriend as she caught the objects from her hand.

As the girl catches the throwing knives from Mara, the girl starts to slow down. She starts to get tired. This was the sign that Mara was winning. Mara believes that if the girl gets tired, she won't be able to dodge it if it goes straight to her crush. So, she decided to take the risk. Mara threw every sharp object that she had. It went way too fast for them. The girl's boyfriend stands in front of them. Mara just stared at them with cold eyes. She even looks like she doesn't care. The girl stands up. She stands in front of her boyfriend. She stretched her hands out. So, she could block those sharp objects from hurting her boyfriend. 

As it was going fast it was about to hurt the girl as it was going straight to her. A mysterious stranger appears. They catch everything in one go.

" Phew! We made it in time " said a mysterious male voice.

" Yeah if we don't, we will get in trouble, " said another mysterious male voice.

" What do you expect? How do we find someone when they are so hard to find among this world ? " said another mysterious male voice.

The girl opened her eyes. She saw a tall person in front of her. Her boyfriend was behind her.

" Oh dear! We made her get hurt " said another mysterious male voice.

The girl's boyfriend turned around. The voice of his appeared behind him.

" Who dares to hurt you ? " said another mysterious male voice as he appeared out of her shadow.

Mara was shocked. They saw a group of strangers appear out of thin air. She was shocked even more. Mara was about to say something, but her mouth was covered. When she turned around, there were already two people behind her. One was covering her mouth and the other pushed her down on the floor. The girl was confused. But when the person in front of her turned around, she knew instantly who they were.

" Sheesh lady, you're so hard to find. Why did you run away from us ? " said the mysterious male voice wearing a red mask.

" Who cares?! We are here anyway. Let's just heal her wounds and then explain it " said the mysterious male voice wearing a yellow mask.

" Are you alright—? " said the mysterious male voice wearing a blue mask.

He was about to say the girl's name. However, he stopped half way when he looked at her. He also looked at other people that came with him. He stares at his companion. He knew that it wasn't the right time to say anything. He stays quiet. The girl looked at Mara. Mara looked at her in confusion. The girl just smiles back at her saying nothing. The strangers tied Mara's arms and legs so she couldn't hurt anyone anymore. They put Mara back to the hospital bed. The doctor came in and took notice of the situation once more. The doctor sighs once more.

" The good news is that Mara's ' injuries ' that she claims that she had were normal. There wasn't any pain. There wasn't any fracture. It was all good and new " said the doctor to everyone.

The girl stays quiet. She didn't say anything. It was completely silent. Until, the man broke the silence. The man was about to speak, but the doctor cut him short. He pointed at the girl and said to her..

" You should be careful. You shouldn't move around too much " said the doctor to the girl.

He noticed that the girl got tired. And it's probably because of THAT. The strangers could also sense another life in her. It was very faint. Either way that didn't stop them. The group of mysterious strangers stands before the man and his girlfriend. They bow towards the girl's boyfriend.

" Would you kindly, sir, introduce who you are? Since you have been dating HER " said them as they stared at her in respect.

The girl pushed the man in front of them. She reassured them that it's nothing bad. And so he took a deep breath.

" Of course, I would be delighted to tell you who I am, " said the man as his face was calm but happy at the same time.

As the man tries his best to introduce himself, the girl approaches the other two that were with Mara. As she approached Mara, she was surprised to see these two strangers bowing to her. Mara thought they were bowing to her. But, it wasn't the case for her. The girl took a deep breath.

" Oh? You must be...? " said the girl as she tried to think who they were.

The girl didn't need to hide who she was. But, it was best for anyone to not know who she is. It's for safety reasons. The strangers were speaking to Mara's classmate in a different language. She couldn't understand what they were saying to her classmate.

" Me? " said the girl as she pointed at herself.

The two strangers nodded their heads. The girl started to speak as she took a deep breath.

" I was with my boyfriend. And we decided to stop by here at the hospital. Because, my classmate here; Mara claims she hurt herself " said the girl as she tries her best to ' translate ' what they are saying.

The girl tries to make conversation with them. But, she could tell her boyfriend is struggling. She walked towards him. She approached them with no ill intention. She smiled at them. The man starts to finally relax. He was able to introduce himself to them.

" My name is Aiden Bennett Marcel. My name means little fiery blessed warrior " as he took a deep breath as he finally introduced himself for the first time to them.

The group of strangers looked at the girl. They didn't say a word. They look at Aiden. They bow down in respect. Mara thought that her crush Aiden was rich. And she spoke out of turn.

" See? I was right. Aiden is rich " said Mara to them.

The two strangers that held her captive rolled their eyes at her. They even snickered behind her.

" What's so funny ? Did I say something wrong ? " said Mara to them as she looked even more confused.

The two strangers say nothing. Aiden goes to check up on his girlfriend. He felt that it was his fault. He believed what Mara said to them. If he didn't believe her, they wouldn't be in this mess.Without anyone looking, they didn't watch Mara. She had a sharp object with her. She was able to set herself free all on her own. Mara pushed the two strangers away from her. She got up and ran past them. She was able to reach Aiden. He steps back. He turned around and looked at his girlfriend. And then he stood in front of his girl. He faces Mara head on.

" Aiden, look out! " said the girl to her boyfriend.

Aiden turned around. It was so quick. Aiden was about to get hurt, but his girl protected him. The girl ran towards Aiden. She blocked it. She went between Aiden and Mara. She was able to protect her stomach. It was an automatic response. Instead of her getting hurt from her stomach, she got a s***h from the back. Mara smiled. She was happy that she was able to inflict pain on her. As she was able to protect Aiden, she fell from the pain. Aiden catches her with open arms.

" Y-y-you, how dare you lay a finger at her? " said one of the mysterious strangers in a red mask as he was looking at Mara in a furious tone.

The girl's head rested on Aiden's shoulder. She woke up for a short period of time. She slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the people to her left. She shakes her head in response. And they comply. She extended her hand to touch Aiden's face. She rubs his face up and down. Aiden could see blood dripping from her forehead. Mara was excited that her classmate would die by her hands. Aiden gently helped her get up a little bit. Aiden was behind her and holding onto her. She took a deep breath.

" Mara please you should stop what you are doing " said the girl to her as she just smiled at her action.

" You are angry because I took your crush from you, isn't that right Mara? " said the girl to her.

Aiden heard what his girl said to Mara. It was the first time that some other girl that isn't his girlfriend has feelings for him. Aiden placed his right hand to his chest. He could tell that his heart wasn't beating for Mara. He closed his eyes. He took a deep breath. His other hand was holding onto his girlfriend's hand to his heart. He opened his eyes. He faces Mara head on. He stared at her straight into her eyes. Mara looked away at him. Because, she has a feeling that she would get rejected by him.

" Don't look away from me, " said Aiden to Mara.

" Come, Mara, look at me, " said Aiden to Mara.

" N-no! I don't want to " said Mara to Aiden.

" Come Mara, look at your crush " said the girl to Mara as she spoke from her breath.
