I had not seen Autumn since we were ushered out of the conservatory after drinking hot chocolates, and sent upon the walk around the grounds of the Anderson’s home. Grounds I knew only too well, having spent many hours exploring them as a child. But, exploring them in the freezing cold snow seemed an odd choice of activity, but clearly, Annabel felt a walk in the snow was a nice choice of seasonal activity, so that is what we were doing. And, my parents seemed to be loving every moment of my company as we walked. The longer we walked, and the more my eyes darted through the group of people walking with us, the more I came to the realization that Autumn was not with us.
