Vincent's POV It was the first Thursday of the month, which meant it was time for my visit to Sunrise Orphanage. I'd been making this trip every three months for the past two years. It was one of the few things in my life that felt genuinely good, genuinely meaningful. I loaded the trunk of my car with everything I'd prepared, boxes of food, bags of clothes sorted by size, toys for the younger children, books for the older ones, and an envelope containing a check for twenty thousand dollars to cover the orphanage's operating expenses.
