Camilla's POV In the evening, I drove to Vincent's house without calling first. I needed to see him, to remind him that I existed, that I was here, that I wasn't going to just fade into the background while he chased after Rachel. The housekeeper let me in, and I found Vincent in his study. Papers were scattered across his desk, blueprints, contracts, what looked like construction specifications. His laptop was open, his phone beside it, and he was scribbling notes on a legal pad. He barely looked up when I walked in. "Vincent," I said from the doorway. "Camilla." He glanced at me briefly, then back at his work. "What are you doing here?" "You told me we'd talk when you were free," I said, walking into the room. "After the bidding meeting. Well, the meeting was today, so I'm here."
