Once Zen and Joe ran away from the Prince, they didn't stop until they were out of the Palace grounds. They could hear shouts of protests as they ran past other people, including guards but no one stopped them. Once they were on common ground, Zen flopped on the ground, breathing hard and trying to catch his breath while Joe leaned against the wall of a house doing the same. "Where do you suppose they ought to be? Miss Tessa's house?"
"No, that seems too risky. Prince Cooper could know where she lives and he could try and attack them." Joe explained. "But then they only so many places to seek shelter. Your shop is the other one but that isn't very secure-"
"-and it is locked, of course."
"Right. That only leaves one place." Joe said pushing himself off the wall and stretching his limbs
