Two junior students passing with flyers distracted me from him.
They held a bunch of paper in their hands and handed one to Kai, who beamed at them and took the one they handed him before coming to me.
It only took them recognizing who I was to scurry away and run off.
I looked at their retreating backs and tried hard to hold back the tears in my eyes as they panted, eyeing me suspiciously before giving one more sheet to the next person.
“Is someone going to tell me what the hell is going on or am I to remain in the darkness,” Kai spat, and when I turned, he was staring at me with a piercing look in his eye that made me turn away as soon as I saw it.
