Chapter Twenty-three

1831 Words
“We must never speak of this. Ever.” Rose rolled out of beard dragging the duvet from her body and running into the bathroom locking the door. “Rose!” She cautioned herself. “What on earth are you thinking, sleeping with the son of the enemy??” She said as she stared at herself in the mirror. Hitting her head against the mirror non-stop. “I can’t believe that I became so gullible. Oh my God!” She said hitting the sink that almost broke off from the wall. “Just pretend like it never happened. Shut your eyes, take a deep breath, and poof, it’s gone.” So she shut her eyes, taking in a deep breath. ‘Does that hurt?’ His deep husky voice along with his face from the previous night appeared. “Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!” She screamed as she opened her eyes. “Ohhhhh!!!!” She whined as she walked up and down in the bathroom in frustration. “A business trip! It was a business trip you dumb w***e!” She reprimanded herself. “I’ll just take a very cold shower and this night will just be like every other night. Normal. Not sleeping with the alpha of your rival pack.” She stepped into the shower tub and turned on the shower letting the cold water run against her extremely hot skin, steam leaving her body as if y were hot water that had been rushing out. Once she was done, she stood in the silent bathroom for a long while. “Oh Jack will have my head if he ever found out. I cannot by any chance let last night’s incident slip out of my mouth.” She stepped out of the bathroom to find that he was gone and so were his clothes. Just then she heard her phone chime, multiple times with multiple notifications entering. “ The hell is going on? Why is my phone blowing up? I’ll check it later . ” she said as she sat in front of the dressing mirror, taking off the head wrap on her head. She then hears her phone ringing out. She looks at the caller ID, Jackson. “Oh what does Jack want now? I’ll call him later.” She ignored the call. Pick your damn call before I burst your head wherever you are. A message notification followed with his persistent calling. “Oh relax Jack, I’ll call you.” The next time, Stefan calls her as well. “This had better be good.” She said as she picked the phone and swiped on the answer button. Rose? Give me that… she heard Jack’s voice in the background. She rolled her eyes, supporting the phone on her ear with her shoulder while she applied her make up. “What’s up ? Why have you been blowing my phone up and threatening to burst my head?” “Rose, if you were so horny why didn’t you find someone else to screw you?” “The hell are you talking about Jack?” “Rose, have you come online yet or you have been busy?!” She furrowed her brows and sat up right. “What’s going on? I haven’t been online,” “Oh my God. Rose. Rose. Rose. Get your friggin ass down here ASAP!” The line disconnected and Rose felt confused and shocked. “How did he know?” She saw a lot of messages from different people, the same thing all over. “Why am I being sent photos? Is it a photo from my eighth grade?! Oh no! I’m sooo…” she clicked on one of the chats. Her eyes widened in shock. She found it hard to speak, let alone process what her eyes were staring at. Reed and Blanc shared a cozy night together? The headline read. Below it were photos of Rose, covered with the blanket, her hair ruffled up, sleeping peacefully. She scrolled down anxiously reading the ridiculous comments underneath the post. “No! No no no no no nooooo!” She said fighting to keep the tears in her eyes from pouring out. “This bastard! Thisssss… UUUGGGHHHH!!!” She threw her phone on the bed and smashed her table. “Oh- ho ho! Oh Storm Reed. You have messed with the wrong Blanc.” Her eyes filled with rage and burning anger. Her body so hot it could burn anything brought close to her. She threw on a pair of Nike shorts and a black y shirt putting on her flip flops and storming to his room. She swung the open and found him walking up and down the room. “I swear I don’t know what the hell happened. I don’t know…” “Shut up! Storm, you degraded me in such a manner. How dare you?!” “Rose I had no f*****g clue!” “Don’t give me that bullshit! You knew. You f*****g knew! How on earth am I the only one in the photo and your face is not in it?!” “But they said a Reed.” “For f***s sakes Storm, they can attribute it to anybody else! Damn!” She said throwing off the lamp from the table, watching it smash on the ground. “Relax Rose. We can sort it this out together.” “No! There is no WE! There is you and there is me and what exists is pure undiluted hatred. Ohhh believe me that the hatred has been stirred up pretty heavy today and you will regret it. Oh I promise you. Mark my words Storm. You have bitten way more than you can swallow. f**k you!” In anger she slammed his door pretty hard causing cracks in the wall due to the nature of her strength that comes from being a Luna. She threw her clothes in her box in anger, not bothering to pack them well. She dragged her box with her, “Rose come back and let us sort it out.” “There is no us Reed. Go and enjoy your social media win. Enjoy the fact that you have successfully ruined me. But you cannot ruin me permanently because I can be a very crazy b***h and oh, oh Storm,” she laughed hysterically. “Count down your days.” With that she walked out of the building with her shades on avoiding the stares that came from people who cared to know who she was. She threw her bags into the taxi waiting outside, “Take me to the airport with immediate effect.” She dialed Stefan’s number, knowing fully well that Jack was too boiled up to have reasonable conversations with her. “First of all Jack isn’t here, so you can continue.” “Get me a private plane. I need to leave here asap.” “As a matter of fact, Jackson already made arrangements for that. The pilot is on his way to the airport. You just have to be there.” “Great! Thank you.” “Are you okay? I don’t want you to feel degraded because of what that son of a dog had done.” Rose looked over at the Reed building, a crazy idea coming into her mind. “I am perfectly fine Stefan. You should know that I know how to bounce back from scandals like this.” “Truth cannot be denied though, we didn’t ever expect you to be in the same room with him, not even the same bed. It’s Storm, Rose. Did he wear a mask or something? Did he drug you?” “None of that Stefan. I was completely sober, returning from that mission we had gone on. Emotions were high, and so was the urge.” “Well, we shall continue to talk about this when you return. Away from Jackson, he just threw a mug at the servant, I have to go.” “I told you Reed. You cannot mess with me and go scot free. Wait for me,” she said to the driver as she got down from the car. “Let’s get this over with, shall we?” She said as she walked back into the hotel. She followed the stairs that led to the basement, underground. She looked around smiling, “This is the perfect place to execute a plan like this. You would not know what hit you Storm baby. Just relax and enjoy the show.” She started by pulling out all the weapons that were hidden in the inner room. She found the box of explosives, picking one up in her hand and giving a wicked smile, “Oh ho ho, what do I have here now?” She pulled out the explosives, “How do I work with you bad boys?” She checked around for the manual, if there was any. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “You’re still here?” She bumped into Storm in the hallway. “No. I’m leaving.” She brushed past him with a smile on her face. “Listen here Rose, i am telling you the truth when I say that I do not know how that happened. I don’t know how…” “It’s okay.” She said smiling brightly at him. “I mean it’s so confu… wait what? It’s…okay?” “Yeah. Why would it not be okay? These things happen you know. Boy forgets when he woke up, took his phone and snapped the girl beside him and uploads it on the internet, via his instastory.” The smile turned into an angry pouted mouth. “It was lovely doing business with you. Hopefully I don’t get to see your forsaken face ever again.” With that she got into the car waiting outside the hotel for her. “Can we leave now?” “Yes. We can.” She said to the driver who drove out of the building. “What the hell is this smell? What’s burning?” He said sniffing the air that seemed polluted. He noticed that he wasn’t the only one as he noticed the facial expressions of his guests. “What’s going on? What’s that awful smell?” Storm asked pinching his nose, “I don’t know sir, it’s…” B O O M ! ! ! ! The building exploded, shaking the entire building, “What the hell is going on?!” He screamed. Everyone began to run out of the building as fast they could. B O O M ! ! ! ! It happened again. Storm turned around and noticed that the building was catching fire, and the fire was wild and spreading fast. He saw the smile on her face as she winked at him, putting the shades back on and raising her middle finger as she drove out of the kingdom. “Get the guests and workers to safety! That crazy b***h!”
