I blinked, unable to fully grasp what Libby just said. My ears were buzzing as I blankly watched her and her mother argue. It took Libby bursting out in tears to really break me back into focus.
“I’m sorry, what’s going on?” I asked, my voice faint. “What do you mean resurrect?”
One thing was for sure, I knew Noah was mated to Jadelyn, or Jade, from that time I met her in the elevator. There’s no way, though, I had to be hearing wrong.
“She performed a resurrection spell to revive the vampire’s dead brother.” My heart thudded. My head couldn’t wrap around it still, even hearing the words repeated. There’s no way. Surely, not. I watched Cross die before my very eyes. Did they perhaps have other siblings? Either way, there was no way in hell this was good news at all.
