I regretted it the moment I tossed the keys at her. I watched her back as she ran away. It didn’t take long before everyone was in uproar. She had stolen one of their cars and was gone. No one knew that I had a hand in it. That night, I was laying in bed when there was a knock on my door.
I stood up, stretching and opened it to find a hooded figure standing there.
“Emergency meeting of the Council.” I felt uneasy as I followed him down to the Embassy and sat in my usual spot. After roll call, Benjamin sat down.
“You probably all know why I summoned you here, Alpha Silvermayne has disappeared. We are a month away from D-Day and we cannot go through with our plans without her. We need to locate her.”
