Violet's POV
"Think, Violet. This human world isn't safe, and I can't keep protecting you," Axel uttered, raking a hand through his hair spiking the roots.
"I wouldn't need protection if you hadn't given me this mark!" I yelled, harsher than I intended. I didn't care if I was overreacting; he was the cause of everything.
"I'm sorry," his voice lowered with a sigh of resignation. "I'm taking responsibility Violet, I shouldn't have… I know I shouldn't but I lost control"
"How are you to protect me if you can't restrain yourself?"
