Hearing those words on his lips makes my heart flutter into my throat, but I can’t quite bring myself to say it back quite yet. Not after how he’s hurt me the last few days. “I’ll see you soon,” I whisper. I have a curse to break and a journey to the unknown with an archangel to deal with.
