“No, there’s no way,” I say, still in shock. “The fairies would never do anything like this.”
“Even if their king is angry?” Eric asks, “Hurt?”

“I just can’t see them being violent like this.” I say with a shrug. “Maybe it’s someone trying to stir up trouble?”
He rubs his eyes in frustration. “Maybe. I’m going to return home to investigate.”
