I hold on to Gabriel with all of my fading strength while we are violently whipped through the vortex, my fingernails digging into his stone-like flesh. After a few moments of agony and terror, we finally land in heaven. It’s just the way I remember, a thin mist hangs just around our feet and ivory walls climb as high as the eye can see, piercing the clouds above. Enormous golden columns stretch out ahead, lining the endless path before me.  It takes me a moment to realize that I’m still clutching Gabriel’s white robe. “Oh…” I say as I release my death grip, “Sorry about that.” He clears his throat a little, then smooths out his robes with hands larger than my torso. “It’s fine,” he says stoically. I look down at my feet and realize that I’m standing upright, all of my pain has vanished
