It’s been a few days since the baby was born, and a few days since I saw Eric last. I haven’t had the guts to call him. Or maybe… maybe I just don’t want to get pulled into the world of the supernatural again. Life here is so peaceful.  “Can I get you another one, John?” Sylvia asks in her bubbly voice that carries over the din. It’s so nice seeing her start to return to her usual outgoing self. She grabs a tray of dirty glasses and bounces back toward the bar to pour some more drinks. She’s been such a big help around here since my mom is taking some time off. She hands me the tray of glasses to wash, and I pour a few more beers from the tap to give back to her.
