“What are you doing here?” He says with distain in his voice, his eyes studying my companion carefully. “And how did you get in?” He looks up to the trees with an angry glare.
“Rob...” I say, nearly gasping for air. “...Your majesty.” I squeak out in a meek little voice. I didn’t realize how much it would affect me to see him again. I thought I was healing.

“I came because…” I start, choking on the words a bit as I try to hide my emotions, “My friend here is a Fairy and she is looking for answers about her ancestry.”
For a moment, he looks at her with curiosity. When he looks back at me, his eyes travel over my new wings and stone-like skin. There’s a flicker of hope in my heart when I catch a glimpse of awe and admiration in his gaze. For a moment, I see him again.
