She escaped

Selene’s Pov. “Sold?” “To who?” I asked raising a questioning brow at Caleb, he tucked his hands into his jeans and leaned closer to me a bit. “You heard me clearly. So behave yourself for the time you have here, I’m not sure you will be in this pack by tomorrow.” “Alpha Marcus won’t do that to me.” He laughed amusingly. “I thought you were smart, he has to take you away, you can’t keep dragging with Morgan.” “I’m not dragging with Morgan.” “Yet you still manage to catch the attention of everyone at the party, you think he’s just going to let that slide? That’s why he is selling you off to one of those Alphas here at the party. That you’re no good for him here.” My body folded into a bat, I scanned through the hall with my eyes for Alpha Marcus and found him laughing with Alpha Lyrien and two other Alphas with drinks in his hands. “How could he?” I mouthed, “Is this his own way of trying to keep me silent?” “To keep me locked away forever?” I darted my gaze back to Caleb, he had straightened up himself and taken out a glass of wine from my trolley. “He gave you away to please Morgan, you are of no use being here, Selene, take that into your head.” He stabbed my forehead with his fingers, but the words that I wanted to say held me back, my own emotions were strangling me over my chest. I couldn’t believe what I just heard from Caleb. My father sold me off, he was no different from them at the orphanage. He wasn’t any different from how they treated me, and he was doing the same thing over again. A man was going to own me, not just anyone but an Alpha. I sniffed and pushed the tears back in. Caleb sipped from his drink, “…you should run while you have time, else you won’t have the chance for it at all. They will have you bundled up and taken away.” He chuckled and chugged down the glass of wine. I left the trolley, left the hall, and ran out. If the only way for me to leave here was to escape this cruel fate, then I was going to leave. I would run as fast as I could, away from everyone, I wouldn’t let Marcus decide my fate the second time. I was outside when two guards stopped in front of me, they blocked my path and pushed me back in. “Where do you think you’re going?” One of the guards asked, he was one of Marcus’s men, “You shouldn’t stay out of sight.” “I just want to go back into my room,” I said calmly. He studied me for a second and turned to the other guard beside him, “Follow her.” He ordered. I walked carefully to the back of the pack house where my room was, and the door was broken down. I knew he kept a close distance between us. I studied his movements, and how I would attack him and take him down before he could shift over to his wolf. I shoved the broken door aside and started to make my way in, I squatted to pick up some of my dress, but I picked up one of the legs of the broken table, and stood up slowly. “The door is broken, and I would have to fix it,” I said so he could come closer which he did, the second he came closer, he stared at the door. I hit him over the head, glad he was bald, which was to my advantage. He groaned, and I took advantage to hit him hard on his jaw, and kicked the side of his ribs until he fell backwards. I pulled the door and whacked him over with it, he stumbled backwards, I kicked him harder, and attacked his head again. I grabbed his neck when he fell, and strangled him, forcing him to pass out, and when he eventually did. I held his body, dragged him over to my room and left him beneath the bed. This was my chance to run, and I didn’t think twice about it, I grabbed a cross bag, and started a run. I need to find my way out of the borders and since most of them were at the party, it will take a while before they notice that I was gone. And it was my only chance to flee. I started a run through the woods, I hated my human legs, my wolf Germ was faster, she was smarter, and everything that I needed. I miss my wolf, and once I escape from this pack, I have to find a way to unbound my wolf. But staying in Red Moon Pack and being sold off, wasn’t the kind of life that I wanted. I shoved through the tall grasses, and the bright light from the Moon, showing me the exact path that I needed to take. I knew this was a sign from the Moon Goddess, I was taking my own destiny into my arms. The faster I run, the farther I see myself away from the Pack. I climbed through the fence, and jumped over to the other side, while I was close to the border, I noticed there were three guards and I have to find a way to escape them. If there was another path that would lead me out of the pack without having to go through the warriors at the border. “…the Alpha is inviting us to come for a drink.” “He wants to treat the warriors.” Randy said with a cheer, and tbe three others yelled after him. “Tonight, he wants us to celebrate.” Randy raised a glance. “All because of the princess.” They were moving away from the border, if I had gone through the station, the security at that place was tighter, I wouldn’t have had the chance of getting this close. When they weren’t watching, I hurried out, running without a glance back if I was seen or not. I kept on running until I heard someone yelled. “Selene has escaped!”
