Just as she was about to touch Victor, he suddenly grabbed her by the throat. The man looked at her with a chilling, vacant stare, as if she were already a corpse.

Chloe froze. When the weight of his words finally sank in, she let out a blood-curdling scream. She scrambled to flee, but two burly bodyguards pinned her down. Before she could struggle, they forced her hand onto the chopping block beneath a sharp blade.
The moment the steel touched her skin, Chloe finally broke, sobbing and confessing hysterically.
