I found out that Kara and Derek had invited my pack to a party at a prestigious hotel ballroom. Sara and I didn't receive an invitation. I learned about it thanks to my best friend, who handed me the card he received. Kara and Derek hadn't clarified the reason for the celebration, but I assumed it was because both of them had returned to the city.
I mentioned the news to Sara. I thought she would be angry about my comment, but she insisted we go. I didn't object because I wanted to see Kara. I needed to talk to her alone. Since Derek and Kara returned to the city, I have heard nothing from Kara. I didn't even know where they lived. Scott investigated Derek and found the address of their new home. I wanted to go see her, but I didn't. I waited for the party.
