I woke up to the feeling of Fin’s body pressed against me and the sound of his soft, even sleeping breaths. The morning light cast a bright glow through the balcony door. Serene purred in my head as she woke up.
“Mmm, I could quickly get used to mornings like this.”
Fin groaned lightly in his sleep, stirring as his warm lips landed on the back of my neck, trailing down to where my neck met my spine. Goosebumps spread across my body as the wind suddenly picked up, slamming a tree against the side of the palace. I jumped, realizing it was me who did that, and Fin startled as well.
