Lacey The guards watched cautiously as we dragged Ben and Angela across the yard. Ben was sputtering about how undignified this looked. Angela was just sobbing, clearly thinking this was the end for her. Serene kept walking, past the yard and into the forest. Ben dug his feet into the ground, trying to keep us from proceeding deeper between the trees. “Stop it. So I lied in the past—that doesn’t take away all the love you have for me.
