“I’ve already explained this to you, Mason. We cannot burden her. We are her friend, we are her trainer, and we are just going to be thankful that we get to be close to her.”
“Whatever you say, but I felt her feelings. I felt Serene’s feelings. I know you did too, and what she wanted was definitely not for you to run off like an embarrassed little virgin.”
“Shut up, Mason,” I grumbled, turning the water on in the shower and stepping into the spray.
